The Remedy Compass is a quick, guided way to explore what a single homeopathic remedy might do for something isolated and short-lived — a sleepless night, a minor bump, a stomach that’s off. Pick what’s going on below, answer a few simple questions, and see a remedy that’s often a good starting point.
Acute remedies can be genuinely effective — matched well, a single dose can shift something real. What this primer covers is that acute layer: symptoms with a clear, recent onset that stand more or less on their own. Most people who come to see me, though, are dealing with something chronic or constitutional — patterns that have been building for years, often showing up in more than one way at once, that call for a full case history rather than a few multiple-choice questions. Think of this as a genuine tool for the acute picture, and an invitation into the deeper work when what you’re carrying is constitutional.

How to take a remedy:
Take one dose — a few pellets, or the amount shown on the package — in a clean mouth, ideally 15–20 minutes away from food and drink which can interfere with how it acts.
Let it dissolve under the tongue rather than swallowing it down with water.
Wait and watch. Give it time to act before deciding whether to repeat — for everyday complaints like these, that’s often a few hours. You’re looking for a shift in how you feel, not an instant fix.
Only repeat the dose if the original complaint is still there and the remedy seems to be wearing off. If it worked, there’s usually no need to repeat at all.
Store remedies away from strong smells — perfume, camphor, mint — and direct sunlight, ideally in their original container.
When to seek further help
Fever, severe or worsening pain, or symptoms going the wrong direction rather than improving.
Anything involving heavy bleeding, difficulty breathing, chest pain, or confusion — please seek emergency care.
For urinary symptoms specifically: fever, back or flank pain, or blood in urine — see a doctor promptly, as these can signal a kidney infection.
Anything that keeps coming back, never quite resolved to begin with, or feels tangled up with several other things at once — that’s exactly when real case-taking, not a quiz, is worth your time.
This is just a starting point
Homeopathy has a lot more range than a quick primer can show. In sessions, I also work with:
Hormonal transitions — perimenopause, menopause, cycles that have gone off track
Anxiety and stress patterns that don’t resolve on their own
Chronic or recurring digestive trouble
Sleep difficulties that go beyond an occasional bad night
Grief and major life transitions
Trauma, through Advanced Integrative Therapy and Reconnective work
Longstanding, whole-person patterns that need a full case history to make sense of
