ReConnective Therapy

ReConnective Therapy

ReConnective Therapy (RCT) doesn’t add anything from the outside. It restores what was always there within you.

Each of us carries an inner template of perfect health — a complete energetic blueprint of how our body and mind are designed to function at their best. This knowledge lives in the energy body, the invisible structure that builds and maintains the physical body and holds our feelings, thoughts, memories, and possibilities.

We lose our well-being when connections between the energy body and the physical body are broken.

ReConnective Therapy (RCT) was developed by Herwig Schoen — a classically trained homeopath and bodyworker who recognized that something beyond conventional energy medicine was needed. RCT is a healing art that facilitates reconnection between the energy body and the physical body. It involves no manipulation of energy by the practitioner and no exchange of energy between practitioner and client — it works solely on resonance. The practitioner simply allows the connections to happen. What the client receives is already inside them.

Herwig passed away in 2020, leaving behind a profound body of work that continues to be carried forward by his wife Kerstin Schoen and the practitioners they trained.

What Disconnects Us

Think of what happens when the body receives a physical impact — a fall, an accident, a blow. Rather than allowing that energy to travel through the central nervous system where it could cause catastrophic damage, the body does something remarkable: it encapsulates the impact in an energetic sphere, freezing it in place. Herwig Schoen called these shock patterns.

This is the body’s intelligence at work — protecting you in the moment. But those frozen patterns accumulate over time. Layer upon layer, they take up space in the energy body, leaving less and less room for the body to access its own healing template. Over time the connections between the energy body and physical body weaken, and symptoms — physical, emotional, relational — begin to emerge.

RCT heals and integrates each shock pattern, restoring connection and allowing the body to return to its natural state of wholeness.

What Makes ReConnective Therapy Unique

One of the things I find most remarkable about RCT — and what distinguishes it from AIT and other energy-based approaches — is that no conscious integration is required.

AIT asks something of the client. There is awareness involved, a quality of presence and engagement that allows the work to land. ReConnective Therapy asks nothing consciously. The body simply receives what it needs and begins to reconnect. This makes it profoundly accessible — particularly for people who are exhausted, overwhelmed, or not yet ready for deeper conscious work.

It also makes it ideal as a regular maintenance practice. Several of my clients choose RCT simply as a tune-up — a way of staying current with the emotions the body is processing and preventing them from accumulating into symptoms. Most physical symptoms have an emotional root. RCT works at that root quietly, efficiently, and without drama.

My Own Experience

When I first began receiving RCT treatments, my lungs came up again and again.

In Chinese medicine and energy healing traditions, the lungs are where grief is stored. And my body, it turned out, was holding a great deal of it. Session after session, that grief was gently surfaced and released — not processed consciously, not talked through, just cleared. I came out the other side feeling lighter in a way that was physical as much as emotional.

That experience changed how I understood this work and why I continue to offer it.

How I Use RCT in Practice

I offer RCT as a standalone treatment and as part of an integrated healing plan alongside classical homeopathy and Advanced Integrative Therapy. The three modalities work in deep and complementary ways — each addressing a different layer of the same healing process.

One treatment can often provide immediate relief. And because RCT works entirely through resonance, sessions are equally effective remotely — making this work available to clients anywhere.

Aphorism #11

When a person falls ill, it is initially only this spirit-like, autonomic life force (life principle), everywhere present in the organism, that is mistuned through the dynamic influence of a morbific agent inimical to life. Only the life principle, mistuned to such abnormality, can impart to the organism the adverse sensations and induce in the organism the irregular functions that we call disease. The life principle is a power-wesen invisible in itself, only discernible by its effects on the organism. Therefore, its morbid mistunement only makes itself known by manifestations of disease in feelings and functions.   ~ Samuel Hahnemann, “Organon of the Medical Art”
