About Michele Brookhaus, CCH, HNLP Classical homeopathy and Advanced Integrative Therapy — helping women come home to themselves.
It Started With a Sinus Infection Not the most glamorous origin story. But the best ones rarely are. I was living in Vancouver, BC, deep in my own journey of personal growth, when I walked past a homeopath’s office and felt something shift in me. Curiosity, maybe. Or recognition. I walked in, seeking help for chronic sinus infections that had plagued me for years — and what I found changed the course of my life. The remedy that resolved my sinuses didn’t just clear my head. It changed something deeper. I felt, for the first time, like I was inhabiting myself more fully. That homeopath was Heather Herrington — a gifted practitioner and author whose work continues to ripple outward. I am grateful to her still. That experience planted a seed. But it was my son who made me certain. When he was young, he developed severe full-body eczema following a vaccine reaction. Conventional medicine offered management. Homeopathy offered resolution. Watching his small body heal completely — watching the remedy do what nothing else had been able to do — I knew this was the work I was meant to do.
The Training Already living in Minneapolis, I enrolled at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy, where I trained under Eric Sommermann, Val Ohanian, and Laurie Dack. I graduated in 1998 and built my practice in the Twin Cities — St. Paul and Minneapolis — where I worked for fifteen years before relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 2013. Nearly thirty years later I am still in practice, still deepening my understanding of this medicine, and still astonished by what it can do. Over those decades I have sought out the best teachers in the world. I completed advanced study with Rajan Sankaran at The Other Song Academy in Mumbai, whose sensation method deepened my understanding of the vital pattern beneath every case. I trained with Jeremy Scherr at the Dynamis School, whose dynamic approach to case-taking sharpened my ability to find the genius of a remedy and match it to the genius of a person. I have also trained in Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) with Asha Clinton, Reconnective Therapy with Herwig Schoen, Neuro-Linguistic Programming with John Overdurf, and Process Healing with Garry Flint. Each modality has added a layer of understanding to how trauma lives in the body and how it can be released. In June 2026 I presented a talk — Homeopathy: The Science of Hahnemann — at the Dowsers Conference in Saco, Maine, returning to the roots of this medicine and why its precision still matters two centuries later.
Twelve Years of Yoni Bliss From 2012 to 2024 I developed and brought to market Yoni Bliss, a homeopathic lubricant for women’s vaginal health. Twelve years of bringing that product to women deepened my understanding of women’s hormonal and sexual wellbeing and the profound gap in truly effective, natural solutions. It remains one of the most direct expressions of what I care about most — meeting women where they are, with something that actually works.
Coming to Vermont I spent years practicing on the west coast, doing good work. But something was waiting. I had been exploring Vermont — driving through towns, feeling for the one that fit. Most were beautiful. None were quite right. And then I drove into Vergennes. I knew immediately. Something about this small city on Otter Creek, this tight-knit community on the western edge of the Green Mountains, spoke to me in a way the others hadn’t. I live and practice here now, above a beloved gift shop called Gather on Main Street, with Lake Champlain nearby and my son living just across the water. It feels, in every sense, like coming home.
The Work Today My practice is built around one central belief: that symptoms are not the enemy. They are the body’s most articulate language — a precise and personal message about what has been disrupted and what needs to be restored. I work primarily with women. Women navigating chronic illness, hormonal shifts, trauma histories, and the particular exhaustion of having tried everything and still not feeling well. Women who are ready to stop managing their symptoms and start listening to them. I offer classical homeopathy and Advanced Integrative Therapy online and in person in Vergennes, Vermont. Each new client begins with a comprehensive consultation — a real conversation, unhurried, where we explore your full history and what your body has been trying to tell you. If you’re wondering whether this work might be right for you, I’d love to talk. Book a complimentary 15-minute conversation and let’s find out. What if your symptoms are trying to tell you something? Your body is speaking. I can help you hear what it is saying.
